It's TIME TO GET EXCITED!!!!!

Thank you to all those who have signed up for LiverWalk 2007! For all of you who have not signed up yet, please register at www.active.com. It only takes a few moments and then you can start your fundraising campaign!! You can sign up on-line at http://www.active.com/event_detail.cfm?event_id=1446086 .

I would also like to thank the 22 walkers that have signed up so far and have raised over $2,000! Great Job!

I have attached some ideas below on how to fundraise and get more walkers to help you stride for liver wellness! If you need any help, or have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us here at ALF.

TEN FUNDRAISING IDEAS:

1) Like to bake? Don't have a ton of time? Bake some break and bake cookies, wrap them in plastic and seal with a Liver Man sticker. Bring these treats to the office and sell to co-workers for a donation. People love office treats, and I am sure that they would feel less guilty for indulging if they were supporting you and your cause.

3. 2) Like art? Design a shoe box or large jar with photos of you and facts about the liver/liver disease. Ask folks to drop loose change into the jar. In return, give them some candy.

3)Hold a team car wash, bake sale or yard sale and spilt the profits!

4)Send letters to family and friends requesting sponsorship!

5)Ask your employer to match any money you have raised!

6)Have a "Denim Day" where employees can pay to wear jeans on a Friday!

7)Mow your neighbor's lawn or walk their dog!

8)Sell candy bars for an increased amount purchased from a wholesale club! Not every office has a vending machine!

9)Allow students to wear a baseball cap for the day for a specified amount!

10)Try to have fun with it! You'll be surprised how much you get into it, once you receive a few donations.
