Guest guest
10th Annual and FINAL Minnesota Hepfest 2007 Open invitation to all Heppers and their families This year the Minnesota Hepfest will be held August 2nd to the 5th 2007. The airport to fly into for the hepfest is Minneapolis/St. (MSP), we will do pickups from the airport and plenty of people will have cars so there is no need to rent one unless you want to go and do some sightseeing while here. Last year people carpooled for rides to and from the hotels and sightseeing (don't miss the Mall of America). I have a large house and yard with a swimming pool and a hot tub so swimsuits are a must! Actually you may swim in any attire if you are too shy to get into a swimsuit. There is also a public park across the street if the crowd gets too large, but I think we will be fine. We had 105 here last year with plenty of room left. We will take turns cooking meals and a hat will be passed to cover the grocery bill. This isn't mandatory, this is only if you can afford it. I don't want anyone to feel that they can't afford to come. If you can't afford a hotel, of course you are welcome to camp here but you need to let me know if that is your plan. There is plenty of yard space for tenting. A motor home could be parked on the driveway too. I have a few beds open for out-of-towners who are short on funds but space is limited so sign up early! A list of the hotels that are closest to my house are listed at the end of this note. They are all less than a mile from me and are all grouped together. The city they are in is Brooklyn Center, I live only a couple of blocks from the border of Brooklyn Center. I have listed national toll free numbers for some of them along with the local numbers. There will be a Silent Auction to benefit LiverHope, so bring something to donate if you can. Feel free to share this info with any list or board you are subscribed to and of course to all support groups. I'm sending warm thoughts and prayers for everyone in their continuing fight against Hepatitis. If you have any questions please email me at patb@... It's real hugs from other persons with hepatitis. It's love and caring and sharing of thoughts and feelings. It's meeting a very good friend face to face for perhaps the very first time. It's renewing ongoing friendships with someone who knows exactly how you feel like no one else ever could. It's hepper helpers finding out they aren't alone either because other helpers (spouses) have the same feelings they do. It's good friends, good times, good food, and good music. It's wonderful.
