Guest guest
Dear Dr. Belisa: I'm thinking about getting engaged and I haven't told my girlfriend about my hepatitis C yet. It's in remission and undetectable. Should I tell her? Tony Dear Tony:Yes! First research it thoroughly so that you become an expert on how it can affect you and her. Read every book and article you can get your hands on. I'm not kidding. It is key that you be calm and well-informed. If you plan on spending the rest of your lives together, it's inevitable you'll have to research and act on medical information that affects you and your significant other. It is imperative that you know all the facts and have them it on the tip of your tongue. Make this a test of how well you research, communicate and take care of you and her.
