Guest guest
Randy, I stand corrected. The point, you're right, is still the same: LPA can survive many things, proof of which comes from we still stood after the Gulf and Vietnam Wars and this war we're fighting abroad. Guest guest
List (and C.): This is a good idea with one thing I don't agree with her on-the kicking all the exec's but Cara out. This would be a good idea except we have no proof that these execs were the sole reason SLC's committee is having problems. I'm guilty of this too, but I've noticed we all seem to jump to blame people before we have all the evidence. The cliche " innocent until proven guilty " would apply here as well to other things. This isn't only this list's problem, it's America's problem--OJ, , Tim McVeigh, Osama bin Laden, all those ring a bell? I'm in agreement we do need to reexamine the execs work, but I'm not saying this incident is enough to wipe them all out and start over. I'm asking one thing: Why do you want to " recall them " as the amendment states? Also, if I recall correctly, America is run similarly to Little People: one person, one vote, but only if they meet the guidelines. My point is that maybe one person thinks something will work, and there's nothing wrong with that, I respect the opinion, but it doesn't happen overnight. Just my five cents on the issue, In a message dated 2/28/2002 2:01:45 AM Eastern Standard Time, dwarfism writes: > Message: 13 > Date: Wed, 27 Feb 2002 21:56:55 EST > From: DIASTROPHI@... > Subject: LPA > > Marge > Yes I know it looks like I'm picking on you but you're the only that really > > understands where I'm coming from. > OK, the SLC committee has already screwed up things with the help of the > LPA > Execs. Guest guest
Unfortunately this is not breaking news - this particular one has been around for about 10 years. They scream about how great it is, but forget to mention that you lose sensation on the left side of your body. ONe girl with LQTS can't feel hot or cold as a result of the procedure - and its not even guaranteed to work! It had previously been called 'worthless' and unnecessary - but they've been doing in Europe all along. You will probably be hard pressed to find a US doctor to do one. I had it mentioned to me when I first was diagnosed and after doing some research realized, its not going to do anything for me! I compare it to ablation, it may work, it may not. > >Message: 3 > Date: Thu, 01 Apr 2004 19:56:41 -0000 > From: " Jon Duffey " <duffey@...> >Subject: Re: Long QT > >Check out the ZAPPER NEWS PAGE! >Breaking information about surgical treatment for Long QT!! > >http://www.ZapLife.org.zap2.htm > > > >________________________________________________________________________ >________________________________________________________________________ > > >Please visit the Zapper homepage at >http://www.ZapLife.org >------------------------------------------------------------------------ >
Guest guest
I do not believe this is the exact same procedure that you are referring to . I have read half a dozen press releases on this surgery in the past few days and it is 91% effective in patients at very high risk for repeated shocks and is a very promising breakthrough. Just my opinion, Dave in Maine Re: Long QT > > > >Check out the ZAPPER NEWS PAGE! > >Breaking information about surgical treatment for Long QT!! > > > >http://www.ZapLife.org.zap2.htm > > > > > > > >________________________________________________________________________ > >________________________________________________________________________ > > > > > >Please visit the Zapper homepage at > >http://www.ZapLife.org > >------------------------------------------------------------------------ > >
