This is My Story ... by Gloria Alvino I am living proof...

....that these are spectacular times of great opportunity, expanding potential, exciting technology, and encouraging progress on every level as we approach the new millennium. New inventions, developments, and products abound. People are awakening to their own limitless potential.

I have awakened to my own limitless potential...and I am celebrating miracles in my own body!

You see I had been ill for 35 years!

I feel greater energy, stamina, clarity and personal power than I can ever remember! I feel young, happy, and more capable than I have in more than 35 years!

I'd like to share my story with you -- in the hope at least some little part of it gives you information that holds meaning for you...or to inspire you to be more certain about your role in your own health. I have come back to full life...and I have much to share...

Since 1963, my physical body had been developing the devastating symptoms of neuro- Behcet's disease (an autoimmune disease of unknown etiology and pathogenesis). This multisystem disease has attacked every major system in my body to cause, at various times, these symptoms:

1. ulcers and inflammation of all the mucous membranes throughout my body, including the eyes, nose, mouth, esophagus, throat, stomach, intestines and vagina. Resulting also in iritis, conjunctivitis, gastric ulcers, colitis and diverticulitis;

2. convulsions, mini-strokes, memory loss, dizziness, headache, vision loss, severe eye pain, and fear of possible blindness because of the swelling of the hemispheres of and stem of my brain;

3. skin rashes, hives, itching, and dermatitis all over my body;

4. painful swelling of the joints resulting in a loss of range of motion similar to arthritis; and

5. phlebitis due to vascular involvement... And found, to my dismay, that there was no known cure.

A health professional myself, I consulted with specialist after specialist trying to find a diagnosis, an effective treatment and a cure. Finally (17 years later!) in 1980 a Harvard Medical School Professor, Dr. Valentina Donahue (also on the staff of the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston), diagnosed my condition as neuro-Behcet's disease and found to my dismay...that there was no known cure. Scientists cannot agree on the cause -- and have not come up with a cure. They can only offer relief through treatment of symptoms with potent drugs -- which usually create serious side effects and symptoms or deficiencies of their own.

And then it got worse!

My general health continued to decline. As the day progressed, the constant pain in my head made it more and more difficult to think clearly, to speak coherently and even walk or remain in an upright position. When things got too difficult, which was frequently, I had to lie on the floor of my office.

I often felt deprived of oxygen...and here I was trying to run a thriving business in the Boston medical education center where I practiced as a professional pharmacist, enterostomal therapist, and rehabilitation specialist. I also owned and operated a prescription shop, surgical supply, fitting service, and home health care service with my partner, Barbara Fitzpatrick.

Sometimes after fully preparing for a meeting that I had arranged, I would blank out -- forgetting everything -- to the consternation of my business partners. I chose to see patients only when I felt well enough to manage my own physical body -- and that became more and more infrequent.

By November, 1984, the neurological symptoms involving my brain, eyes and central nervous system became so severe that I was forced to leave my active professional life, accept my disability insurance, and become housebound or bed bound as my disease dictated daily.

Totally Powerless.

I felt totally powerless. Neuro-Behcet's disease was dictating my limits and my life. I felt isolated, rejected and alone.

I continued my relentless search for help within the alternative modalities of health care -- and I continued to consult with several of the leading physicians in the Boston medical-educational center. I knew many of them personally and professionally because this is where I had practiced.

From 1984 to 1997 I consulted 32 traditional Western medicine specialists in 8 of the major teaching hospitals in Boston. At the same time I used 48 types of alternative therapies. I learned to incorporate several of these into my own lifestyle as they gave me comfort and improved my quality of life. Still I was very limited in my energy and stamina, and I lacked oxygen. My traditional physicians said that all of my blood tests were in the low but acceptable range. I had no tumors on my brain, but the growing pain and pressure in my head increased the threat of aneurysm and blindness. When I felt well I had just enough energy to participate in normal activities for small durations of time.

(Photos unavailable) Can you see the pain in my eyes -- and in my grimacing smile -- as I am being supported by my sister Elena? Although Elena (right) is 12 years older than me...I looked and felt as if I were certainly the oldest.

The pain, rejection, and isolation of the chronic disease patient were my constant companions. My body became my private laboratory for my research and experiments.

In 1992, at the height of illness, I founded Heart to Heart Associates, Inc., a non-profit charitable and educational organization. Heart to Heart Associates grew out of my sheer frustration...at the seemingly never-ending search, the dead ends, and the lack of answers to my questions.

In September 1994 I attended a seminar with Dr. Xin Yin -- and started to do Yin Xin Qigong (an ancient Chinese energy technique). Immediately I felt a surge of power as the Qi (chi or life energy) flowed through the cells of my body and I began to practice Qigong regularly. I have also now taught workshops in Qigong and written numerous articles for scholarly journals.

Then in May 1995 I added algae to my daily diet. I felt an additional and welcome increase in energy and stamina. After significant research, I was convinced that this tiny organism at the bottom of the food chain was the most complete and energetic food on the planet.

I was so excited to have found a few things that actually helped my condition -- that in September 1995 I went to see Dr. Ganong to have my first dark field microscopic blood analysis.

(Photos unavailablr) SEE PHOTOS 1 & 2 | Dr. Ganong said that my blood cells were clumped into the Rouleau rope-like configuration. They were not functioning normally. They could not carry the oxygen my body so desperately needed.

Also I could see that the few white blood cells that I did have were very dull, small and inactive. There were lots of protein strands showing the "leaky gut" syndrome. I was disappointed because I felt so much better doing Qigong and eating algae that I had expected better results. Dr. Ganong reminded me that I had never seen how bad my blood may have looked before I started on this regimen.

I continued to work with nutritionists and alternative wholistic practitioners.

In April 1997, my dear friend Kare gave me a little bottle of Crystal Energy...a product she felt might aid in the unclumping of my blood. She explained it this way...

"Our tap water and even our bottled water today is significantly different from water that flows freely in streams. The water structure is very different," she explained.

"The water molecules clump together by the hundreds or even thousands. They lose their charge. They can no longer carry nutrients or oxygen!!! We can drink lots of water and still die of thirst. In fact, that's just what's happening if our cells don't get hydrated!"

This Is What Aging Is All About!

"Aging is what we call it when people start drying up. What do you think wrinkles are:," Kare asked me.

The picture of my clumped up blood cells flashed through my mind.

She said that the Crystal Energy unclumped the water molecules and gave them a higher "zeta potential" -- or electrical charge. With this electrical charge -- the water molecules repelled each other, attracted nutrients and oxygen to them and were attracted to the cells in the body! Being small, single and energized -- they easily passed through the cell wall -- transporting their valuable load!

I wondered if the same thing could happen to my red blood cells! As a pharmacist with a now growing interest in energy medicine -- it made a lot of sense to me.

I took it to my personal laboratory (my own body) to experiment. I had heard all the testimonials about this product. I wanted empirical evidence! I wanted to see and feel what it would do for me.

I began squirting Crystal Energy in all my water. I drank lots of water! I used it in my teas and anything cooked with water -- to make the water unclumped and energized for use in my body.

Kare had me order the little mister set of spray bottles. I filled them with good water and a few drops of Crystal Energy. I sprayed my face and skin.

Besides hydrating my skin, I could also feel it clearing the energy around my body! I also sprayed it on all my foods.

Oil & Water Do Mix!

Remember Mr. Wizard on TV? Well, I can play Mrs. Wizard with C.E. (Crystal Energy), too! Everyone knows oil and water don't mix, right? Wrong. Now I can add Crystal Energy to oil and water and shake or stir it up...and it emulsifies! That's truly amazing...it can even reduce the surface tension of oil so it can be mixed. So now I add my favorite high frequency essential oils to my water and Crystal Energy and enjoy their added qualities.

I also add C.E. to help prolong the life of my plants. I carry a bottle in my purse and have several in my house because I use C.E. everywhere.

This product has been called "The Nutritional Breakthrough of the Century" and has ushered in the whole new area of physics...called Nano-Colloidal Sciences. Crystal Energy has a nano-colloidal size of 5 nanometers -- possibly the smallest nutrient structure to ever be created...

So, You're Probably Wondering...

Did It Make A Difference?

Yes! Most definitely!

Once again my energy was boosted up another few notches. My skin became noticeably softer and more hydrated. I was subtly "more charged''...I felt as if I was running on a few more cylinders -- or as if more synapses were firing in my brain. It was good...and I heard that the best was yet to come.

Clinton , lovingly named "Dr. Aloe" for his pioneering research and product development in Aloe Vera, who has been known to introduce cutting edge nutritional technology.. .introduced what he has called:

"The Best In Electronic Nutrition!"

Believe me -- he got my attention. Everything that had helped me on my Odyssey of Healing had to do with energy in its purest forms.

I was one of the first to try this electronic nutrition called Microhydrin or silica hydride.

Let me begin by saying that the brochure really got my attention with the question, "Have You Had Your Hydrogen Today?"

How would you answer that question? Where does hydrogen come from? The Sun. It's the smallest element on the periodic chart. How small? Well, if a molecule of Vitamin C were the size of a football stadium...a molecule of hydrogen could not even be seen by the naked eye! Yet...(and here's the "electronic" part!) if a Vitamin C molecule (which we know is good for us because it is an antioxidant...it fixes or prevents free radical damage at the cellular level) has one free electron to give up...

....and a hydrogen molecule has one free electron to give up...

....how many times more free electrons would fit into a capsule of Microhydrin® than into a capsule of Vitamin C? The inventor, Flanagan, says...millions of times more!

So, the way I look at it...hydrogen is encapsulated light. Microhydrin is nano-colloidal Silica Hydride.

Before I go any further in my explanation of Microhydrin...let me just say that...

In just three days of eating Microhydrin, I felt a tremendous increase in my energy and stamina. For years I had complained to my doctors that I felt deprived of oxygen...listless, fatigued, exhausted. All of a sudden, I could function for hours... even a whole day. My "windows of wellness" were definitely getting brighter. They occured more and more frequently, and they lasted longer. I was thrilled! I happily added Microhydrin in to my daily routine.

Flanagan explained the importance of the body's Biological Terrain -- which is the environment of the fluids in which our cells live.

This is where aging and disease begin. Hydrogen enhances the body's "terrain" by creating an environment of health in which the pH is in the range where virus, bacteria, fungus and parasites cannot flourish. At the same time, it provides the electron rich "current" -- which allows intracellular communication to take place.

Instead of the "kill and conquer" germ theory that Louis Pasteur promoted during his lifetime -- I truly believe we have entered into a new paradigm with Microhydrin. A little known fact that I dug up in my research is this...on his deathbed, Louis Pasteur admitted he had made a mistake. His last words were "Terrain is all. "

Our whole drug theory of medicine -- and most of what I learned in pharmacy was based on a theory which even its creator disavowed. Today, by "fighting" disease, trying to kill those nasty germs -- we have created super strains of drug resistant virus and bacteria.

But -- What We Now Know Is...

When we create a healthy internal environment (i.e.: a healthy biological terrain) -- we may prevent or even conquer numerous diseases and symptoms.

(Photo not available) So, would you like to see what my blood looked like after eating Microhydrin for six months? I was certainly anxious to see, too, so...

SEE PHOTO 3 | In St. sburg, Florida (March, 1998) -- I commissioned Dr. to take a dark field microscopic analysis of my blood to actually see what was really happening. Projected on the television screen I could see a very dramatic improvement! My red blood cells were no longer clumped the way they had been in the first analysis.

I could see that my biological terrain had improved. My red blood cells looked as if they could carry oxygen -- and I certainly felt as if they were carrying oxygen and nutrients!

Yes, I still had a distance to go. My red blood cells were still not all round and well shaped. Many were crenated and misshapen. I still did not have enough active white blood cells. I had a higher than normal eosinophil count confirming my allergic state. There were lots of protein strands. I could see tiny rod-like shapes attacking and killing red blood cells.

Dr. cautioned me that my blood was in poor condition, but I was thrilled with this terrific improvement that I both felt and saw. Later when I retrieved my 1995 video from my home in Boston, I gave it to him for his review. Then Dr. was tremendously impressed with the extensive improvement in my blood.

I was so excited by my progress and the hope of helping others, that I couldn't wait the three months that I planned before having Dr. do another analysis.

My Progress Accelerated!

The picture that flashed on the screen filled me with joy! Almost every red blood cell was round and beautiful. There was no sign of Rouleau clumping of red blood cells. There were lots of very active white blood cells. There were no signs of those small rods attacking my red blood cells. There were almost no protein strands. I still had a higher than normal number of eosinophils showing my allergic condition. The improvement in this seventh month was outstanding! My progress had accelerated.

I believe this "electronic nutrition" improved the pH of my blood, added a high electrical potential, and neutralized free radicals...which supported normal homeostasis or healthy rebalance in my body.

Now I could continue to the next step of my experiment by adding a Microclustered Colostrum called First Food to my regimen. Microclustering is a technique also created by Flanagan which can greatly aid in the assimilation or absorption of nutrients in the body.

Colostrum is the first food provided by the mothers of all mammals, and has been widely shown to possess certain immune enhancing properties. FirstFood™ Colostrum's low heat spray-dried processing provides the most active immunoglobulins possible."

The amount of research available on colostrum is quite significant. I learned that colostrum (1) "provides passive absorbable antibodies and immunoglobulins," (2) "contains lactoferrin, which has been found to support red blood cell integrity and iron binding capacity," (3) "has certain growth-enhancing factors, studied for their effects on muscle repair and muscle growth."

After adding the FirstFood, I felt noticeably stronger than before. I felt less pain in my joints and had less allergies. Somehow I felt more solid and centered. My arms and legs felt stronger. I felt so much better that after another month -- on May 18, 1998 -- I went back to Dr. for another dark field microscopic analysis.

(Photo unavailable) SEE PHOTO 4 | The picture on that screen was fantastic. My red blood cells were round, highly charged, and actively moving about! My white blood cells were very bright and active. There were no eosinophils, no rods, and no yeast showing on the screen! Dr. said that if he had seen only this blood sample, he would never guess that I had ever had a serious health problem at all.

Throughout this time I have also been eating omega-3 essential fatty acid (DHA or decosa-hexaenoic acid) in the form of Eye-Q, DHA (or Neuromins). My mind feels clearer, my memory is better, and my vision is even improving.

DHA has been shown to be essential for visual and mental function. It is the primary structural fatty acid in the gray matter of the brain and retina of the eyes. The average American diet is sadly low in DHA. I continue to follow a healthy, harmonious and altruistic lifestyle to support all these improvements in my quality of life, and to better serve my mission to help people learn to better help themselves. The more physical energy and mental clarity I possess the more I can spend in Heart to Heart Associates programs to inform, inspire, and motivate others.

As I continue my personal health experiment, I will share my results so that others may learn from my experience. Since I was first stricken with the dire symptoms of neuro-Behcet's disease, I have been committed to share with others that they might benefit from my pain. Now that I have entered this golden chapter of my healing and learning, I am delighted to share with others that they might benefit from my joyful success.

Each of us is on our own odyssey of healing...on one level or another. The cycle of life...the seeking of truth...the commitment to better serve...each is an exciting odyssey of healing.

After the fantastic results I was able to quantify in my own body, I felt more committed than ever to recommend these products to my family and friends. You know that loved ones are often the most difficult to convince and help.

Just after my May 18 blood test, Barbara and I rushed home to be close to our sister, Elena, as she prepared for spinal surgery on lumbar 2, 3, 4 and 5. We had started Elena on FirstFood to help decrease inflammation, increase immunity and hasten muscle repair about two weeks before her surgery. Elena took three capsules daily before, during and after her stay in the hospital and rehab center. During the surgery, Elena lost so much blood that she required transfusions of 8 units of blood. Elena is petite so the doctor said that she only had about 10 to start!

Although the pain of this extensive surgery was severe, Elena reported that she had little joint involvement. Also she healed well and rapidly. Wearing a brace and using a cane, Elena walked into her surgeon's office for her first post-surgical check-up just three weeks later. Her Boston surgeon, Dr. Brick, was thrilled with her state of healing, strength and mobility. Her physicians, nurses and physical therapists were all thrilled with her spectacular recovery, but Elena remained the happiest.

At the same time our sister 's husband was experiencing his second bout of lung cancer. A retired warrant officer from the Coast Guard, had always resisted taking natural products since his doctor did not prescribe them. This series of chemotherapy injections really wiped him out. He just lay in bed sleeping and refusing to eat. was very concerned because his blood oxygen was low and he was losing weight daily. Based on my experience with Microhydrin...I suggested that give Microhydrin to help increase his blood oxygen, First Food to help increase the power of his immune system, Spirulina to provide protein, and lots of water reinforced with Crystal Energy.

's blood oxygen dropped as low as 86.
