L. Herrera, M.D., is board certified in Internal

Medicine and Gastroenterology with

special interest in liver disease. Dr. Herrera began

his professional education with graduation

from the Univ. of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, San

. He completed his internship and

residency at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center, Aurora,

CO, followed by a fellowship at Walter

Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C. His list of

published works is extensive and includes

abstracts, articles, and book contributions. He

authored the 1998 Update on Chronic Viral

Hepatitis: The Role of the Primary Care Provider in

Diagnosis and Management teaching manual.
