Guest guest
Of course you have to do what feels right --- down in your soul. It's good to hear you take lots of vitamins and herbs--I don't know many here who try to put down what someone decides to do--we give our views and encourage people to investigate everything thoroughly on their own.....and make their own fully informed decision---good luck with whatever you choose, Ed! Guest guest
Fact is Carol, carbs work your liver very hard. Carbs become sugar and cause the pancrease to produce insuline which causes the liver to produce cholesterol and causes the arterial walls to roughen up to catch the cholesterol. Simple carbs are sheer poison to the system. I've met more hypoglycemic HCV+ people! They all avoid protein like the plague, when it is exactly what we need the most! Without an abundance of amino acids, the building blocks of protein, your liver can not heal, and no cell in your entire body can function properly. If you body is saturated with an abundance of amino acids, the virus cannot do its thing. If your body is saturated with amino acids, every cellular function will be better, and the depression and brain fog will be alleviated...combine with Flanagan Microclusters it will jsut go away. BIG CAUTION! Amino acids, or protein, create a nitrogen waste in deigetstion,a dn this is dumped on the liver and kidneys, and can really foul up a sick liver. You cannot heal without them though...so what do you do? Your body, muscles, tissues, even skin, will degnerate, waste away without sufficient proteins...but a sick liver, or cirrhotic liver esp. cannot metablise the proteins. DO NOT eat dietary protein if you have advanced liver disease. Use the Master AMino Acid Pattern for protein instead. It does not create nitrogen waste and will restore all wasting taking place very quickly, and provdie your liver the abundance of amino acids it must have to heal...and to not deteriorate to end stage, and cancer. If you rely on a high carb diet your body cannot heal, or recover, or have what it needs to fight back. Carbs are sugar, and sugar depresses the immune system...severely. MAP provides 400% more utalizable protein than soy...or beef, for the carnivores. Soy creates 87% nitrogen waste which is dumped on the liver, which is already working very hard to not die. Dump excress amounts of nitrogen, or carbs on it and you will excellerate its degeneration to cancer. I am not trying to scare you, Carol. I am trying to warn you, and provide you with the info which will prevent your life being lost to poor diet choices. You will find this is a standard lecture at the Hep C Help forum. Understanding amino acids is critical to recovery, and lack thereof is a big culprit in the early demise of so many HCV+ people. You can find more info at our forum under, The Master Amino Acid Pattern. No, I do not sell, it, but we have a co-op at the forum now so we can all get a bulk discount. MAP will balance your blood sugars and the craving for carbs will go away, ready or not! Please read up on it, and consider it. Guest guest
I know Jeaanine but i am really never hungry......and feel sick when i eat anything spicy or red meat. Are any of the others who are 1a or 1b prior military. I am 1b with Fibrosis2 transitioning to 3 - but alas sorry sister you smoke so you do not deserve to live..........We eat alot of crap like hot pockets and stuff...would love healthy meals but can't stand to cook them or smell them when they r cooking. By the way AST and ALT do not mean nada levels change with stress ext. even with well ppl without the pcr you never know i, went to Kaiser for 5 years (yep, looks like your fine) then when i got to Humboldt County, Ca i found a truthful doc got a biop and now know the truth. Special blood test got me the call " Hello, this is blah blah, and your viral level is over 3 million and replicating, so when can we see you" Thanks, Jeanine i love you guys, carolit wasn't until i was in the docs office and my daughter was there that he told me i was 1b and sorry see ya - i told him i'd go find a medicine man out in the woods that knew more than he did. and swooshed my way out. then cried in the truck. Guest guest
Carol, I can sympathise with the whole cooking and no appetite thing. But my friend...Hot Pockets are literraly killing you, hastening your advance to the grave. You might as well shoot up peg, and have a real reason to be sick and die. All prepackaged foods are filled with chemicals and poisons which go straight to your liver and wait to become cancer. Your diet is everything, and is the only difference between life and death. And the only difference between your health and my health is what we choose to put in our bodies. The only I am doing differently than you is I am not eating krap posing as food, and I am providing my body sufficient nutrients to allow it to heal itself. Its pretty simple. Its not always easy to apply these changes. But our lives depend on it. You can provide good herbs, and vitamins, and other supps by the barrel, but continue with the fake foods full of chemicals and you are just foolin' yourself into thinking your are doing something to recover. (And a note about imported Cannibis...generally it is sprayed with tons of chems too, and can actually behave in an opposite manner than naturally designed because of these harmful chems. The quality of domestic herb is usually more potent and effective for depression, appetite, and most nervous disorders. And most domestic herb is very privately produced organically.)None of us need to be sick or die from HCV. We only do so by choice. You have a choice, Carol. You can recover. It won't be easy, but its not like you have to climb Everest either. Everything you need to completely healthy again is available to you. You don't even have to go looking for them. Its just up to you to apply the answers. Peace, Jeanine http://hepchelp.homestead.com First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win. Guest guest
vegie burgers are soy based.... Mircowaves alter the molecular structure of foods, and cause any plastics used to heat up foods to leach chemicals into the food. Guest guest
Yes i still eat chicken, turkey, and fish. Just remembered a salmon croque recipe and think i'll make tuna casserole tonight. have everything but the noodles. shit there's those carbs again. I've cut salt out of my eating schedule you know eat food salt, eat, salt, don't do that anymore, my dad died of a massive heart attack at 56, and my moms side lives blind and disabled until they are 99 or so. haha what a riot. We got a spa with some backpay money and i swim like a little dolphin in that 105 degree water - you know that feeling like when you were a kid and had a whole day at the beach and were just too bushed to haul that sand bucket all the way to the cabin. I like that all over relaxed feeling. it stays but not long enough. love, carol Carol - How about ground turkey? I just love turkey burgers since I discovered them a year ago.
