allergies vs. healing reaction

I am confused about allergies vs. healing reactions. I have been

tested and have severe allergies to dust, dust mite, trees and

baker's yeast. I have no food allergies.

How are these healing reactions? How would a cat or dog allergy be a

healing reaction?
