Guest guest
Yes, like cocnut milk, cococnut cream needs refrigeration once the jar is opened. You can use a blender when adding water if you want something more like coconut milk. Guest guest
To make coconut milk from concentrate, how much concentrate should I use for 1 cup water. Also will it stay liquid then once I refrigerate it. Should I be refrigerating my coconut oil once it has been opened? Guest guest
Dilute to taste. I have no idea how concentrated your coconut cream is, so use your tastebuds be your guide. The diluted cream may separate some over time, but if you make a day or two's supply at a time, it should be OK. If it does separate, just whip it up again in the blender, or with a blender stick. Coconut oil does not need refrigeration because it contains no water. Guest guest
Hi, After reading this thred I decided to put my two cents in! I'm looking at my Coconut Cream Concentrate by Tropical Tradiditons. It says to mix 1 teaspoon with 6-8 ounces of water to make coconut milk. It also says to store it in areas above 75 degrees, so why do you say to store in the fridge? Is that for different types of coconut cream and after mixing with water? Thanks so much. If I Used the Coconut Cream concentrate, I would question Tropical conditions as to why their diluted cocnut cream won't rot. Does it contain preservatives? Is it a mis-print on the label? Or what? Guest guest
Hi Jackie, I have emailed TT to ask them this very thing. It may be they don't add water to their concentrate. I let you know their answer. Re: Coconut cream concentrate Dilute to taste. I have no idea how concentrated your coconut cream is, so use your tastebuds be your guide. Guest guest
Here is Tropical Tradition response to my question. Although they did not address my question about refrigeration directly, I sort of surmised their answer is that it does not. Guest guest
How can you tell if the coconut cream concentrate is rotting. I am planning on leaving about a cup full of the refrigerator to see if it does rot. Re: Coconut cream concentrate Dilute to taste. Guest guest
I couldn't view any response from TT, but just wanted to add my 2 cents that I've had the TT coconut cream concentrate and have never refrigerated it and it's fine. It's very different from from coconut cream. Much more solid. Amylee > > Here is Tropical Tradition response to my question.
