Uveitis specifically refers to inflammation of the middle layer of the eye, termed the " uvea " but in common usage may refer to any inflammatory process involving the interior of the eye. > > Bee, thank you so very much for your reply, it is very helpful. I have passed the information on to a friend whose daughter had been diagnosed with it. There is no doubt in my mind that your diet will give positive results. > > ==> It is considered an autoimmune disease, in that it isn't the primary symptom that appears first, and it is caused by a very depressed immune system. I've seen references to it actually being candida overgrowth in the eye. But there may be more than just candida > operating in some cases. I suspect it involves a lack of nutrients. > > I strongly believe with what you say that a very depressed immune system and mal-nutrition for many years starting at early age has been the result of my blindness. I have now being on your diet for 21 months, I feel much better than I ever did in my life, however, I'm still dealing with die-off and have a number off health issues that still need to be addressed. Please everyone don't miss understand my quote. What I'm saying is: Bee always tells us to be patient, consistent ................ with our bodies, and that it takes one month for every year that you were sick (longer if you don't follow the diet 100% from the start). > > It is my hope to one day be able to tell you: I no longer have a depressed immune system and thanks to your diet I've regained the vision. Why do I say this you may ask? Well the answer is simple. When I had my eye check-up back in October 2007 the doctor saw a great improvement in my eyes, however, he didn't want to give me false hopes and told me that I should be re-tested in six month. At which time if the imprevement kept improving he would tell me all about it. If this is not one of the reasons to stick to Bee's diet I don't know what would. > > ==> The most important nutrient for the eyes is " true " vitamin A, which only works when there is enough true vitamin D, omega-3, and good saturated fats from animal sources. Of course the entire diet including proteins, minerals and vitamins are are important! Nothing > works all by itself. All of the nutrients work in unison. > > Yes, Bee. I'm taking all the supplements you've mentioned above, hopefully, my eyes will benefit from them. > > May God Bless and guide you always my friend, Clelia ==>Hi Maddalena/Clelia. That's so wonderful your doctor found improvements during your eye check-up! Wow, I'm totally impressed! If anyone else is interested about how Maddalena became blind see " My Life with Candida by Maddalena " in the Folder " Candida Success Stories from Members " - she had poor eyesight and many serious health problems during her life, but it wasn't until she was 29 years old that she went totally blind. You'll be amazed at her story! Love, Bee
