Guest guest
Slow down the infusion and bring the level of the bag down to about 6 " over your abdomen. Adjust the flow so that the bag will empty over a 15 minute period or so. I inject olive oil via a urinary catheter and leave the solution in for about an hour before I administer the enema. The baloon prevents leakage and there is no sensation with oilve oil as long as one doesn't infuse too much. The olive oil softens the stool and makes it much easier to expell. Cramping is normal, however, and they pass quickly. If you can grin and bear it, go for it. I find that slow infusion eliminates the cramps. >Hi Bee and all, >I've been getting cramps when I administer the enema. Could it be >caused by the speed of the coffee flow? Do you know of any possible >reasons for this to happen? I'm not able to leave it in for very long >since I get cramps pretty quickly after I begin the process. >Thanks for any advice!! >Laurie
