Hi , That is amazing you got such immediate relief from your panic attacks. How much Cortef are you taking? Thanks for sharing. It got to the point I didn't even want to go to sleep. DHEA made it worse, Licorice root sent my BP over 150/90, and adrenal extracts did nothing. I survived the summer of 04 on Xanax and some stuff called Phenibut that has some anxiolytic effect. Either the first or second night on Cortef (don't remember exactly) I was sleeping through the night and the panic attacks were gone.Adrenal support is tricky. No two

I started at 20, but after a couple months cut back to 15. I take 5 with each meal. The 5 I cut out was at bedtime. Some people say it keeps you awake, but I slept like a baby. Well, you know, a baby that sleeps through the night. If there is such a thing. :-) -- prrPamela <calblonde1@...> wrote: Hi , That is amazing you got such immediate relief from your panic attacks. When will you run out? Is it the proper cortef you are using or a generic? I have both from intpharm, but now take the generics I get from my GP.

Hi ,

Have you managed to get enough hc now so that you do not run out?

I was put on hc originally by an "alternative doctor" who also put me on armour. I stopped seeing him as I could not afford all the supplements he wanted me to take and so went it alone for several years while still using the GP for blood tests (who probably assumed I was still needing them for the other doc). The altdoc was not of the type of person who would keep in touch with my GP so the GP would not prescribe hc without a treatment plan from the altdoc so I had to buy it privately when I was not seeing the altdoc anymore (he had supplied it as a natural compounded one he had made up for some of his patients).

Anyway recently the GP suggested that I see an endo & the endo then wrote to the GP telling him what I should take (including the hc) and so now that someone has told the GP this he is happy to prescribe the hc, providing I am still seeing the endo.

How did you manage to get a prescription from your Gp for HC?

Gracia, the reason that I won't take Cortef is because I already have permanent

side effects in my spine and eyes from multiple treatments with cortisone for

bronchitis and

asthma. Maybe a review of what it does would be prudent for you to read.
