Guest guest
thanks pal When I think about some of the weirdo attacks I have had in the last 6 to seven years I worry. I was diagnosed back then without a biopsy to have a fatty liver. He has been pleased with the size and feel of my spleen and my liver. I am also surprised to hear from people how many problems started with Mono - which I had back in 1985. Hopefully this test will answer once and for all. However, I also think that when some people are newly diagnosed, and their enzymes usually are very high, that does not necessarily mean that they already have liver damage. When I was diagnosed my liver enzymes were about 1500 and I had no fibrosis (scarring) at all at that point. I think that the fibrosis and, later, cirrhosis come with time although it happens faster for some people than for others. So think positive, have your biopsy which will tell you if there is any liver damage at all, and the treatment you receive, hopefully, will keep the liver damage at bay for as long as possible.
