Dear Carole K.

Actually I think it's embarassing for the bank to have people who would treat you like that. It irritates me, too. You have nothing to be embarassed about !

What is that? curious, b/c my friends little boy has leukemia, and is

Hi ,

They don't use Neupogen in leukemic type diseases because is stimulates the

bone marrow to increase the production of white blood cells. In leukemic

diseases this can also lead to an overproduction of the bad cells called blasts.

You don't want to do anything that could lead to an over stimulated bone marrow

in any type of blood related cancer. (My son had a brain tumor and we have

many friends that have children who have leukemia - only reason I know).

Hope this helps. Not a bad idea, unfortunately your friends son just has to

wait it out and stay away from public areas while neutopenic.

Best of luck to you and your friend's son.
