Guest guest
I was wondering if anyone else had a terrible time being hypothyroid and not getting any understanding from supposed loved ones. I have a husband who is pretty lame but really bothers me when it comes to a total lack of interest or concern for my health. From day one he saw me pop my thyroid meds and never asked what they were or anything. I finally had to ask him if he wondered why his wife took medication or what the medication was. Sad right?! Years later, when ever I have a change in levels (pregnancy, stress what have you) he jumps all over me for the depression, energy issues, dry skin, etc. He points out my faults as if I made some choice to be defective if you will. He never listens to the hypothyroid hell stories I have to live with. He just seems to refuse to see me as someone with a disease. A manageable disease but still a disease. I often wonder if he isn't the sick one! My mom is my only other relative and she is in some kind of denial about my need for thyroid meds. What a support system. So how is yours? Good, bad, room for improvement? Dani --------------------------------- 8:00? 8:25? 8:40? Find a flick in no time with the Search movie showtime shortcut.
