Guest guest
Hi Annie Okie, Okay, my light bulb's not too bright tonight either, but I think digestion starts in the stomach and then the fat/calories actually get absorbed in the intestines (small & large). Guest guest
Well, I have a question that may be really stupid, and I've looked for this information but can't find the answer. Is our pouch higher than where our old stomach is? I mean, like it seems if mine makes noises, then the noice, vibration <grin> is in the middle right below my breast bone. Is this where our pouch is? Sorry for being so dumb, please no one blast me for not knowing this answer. Thank you, Friends! in OK

Guest guest
Go to the clos.net site and you can find drawings of the pouch--it is just the side of your old stomach--a long pouch. The top opening was not changed, so it basically is still in the same place I believe. Guest guest
I've looked at the drawings, but couldn't make heads or tails out of them.
Guest guest
Dr R just makes a tube down the side of your stomach. He staples down the stomach, cutting away the larger pouch of the stomach. The top is still attached as always and the bottom is attached about 6 feet down the intestines from the original attachment. Hence the new stomach tube is still basically where it has always been.
