Guest guest
The night before your surgery you should be feeing some elation and sighs of relief by the time you are up. For me, it was like I was going to have the weight of the world lifted from my mind. While it was initially the most painful surgery I have EVER had, I was able to come home and sleep restfully for nearly a week -- other than getting up to eat and take a few showers. From then on, it was mostly uphill, other than the day I had to go have my drains removed, and that was a lot of temporary intense pain. 'Still such a feeling of relief was exhiliartiing! Please stay in touch, and remember it may be a roller-coaster ride for awhile, yet in the long run you will feel sooo much better! Guest guest
Hi Cristy! Wow, you have been working fast! I am glad that you are taking these health-saving steps for yourself. How is your husband about this all now? And are you completely trusting your plastic surgeon who will be removing the implants? Let us know--and make sure he will do a total capsulectomy--you guys have discussed that fully, right? Is insurance covering any of it, or are you paying out of pocket completely? You are doing the best thing you can for your long term health, Cristy. Smart woman! Just make sure it is done right, and that no traces of the implant or scar capsule will be allowed to remain in your body. My recovery was actually not that bad--I think I took only one pain pill (Roxicet), but didn't even really need that. I was down for maybe a week. Thank God for Moms, right! I was so thankful that my own parents drove across country to be with me during this ordeal. God knows my husband wasn't the knight in shining armour that I needed him to be, and I don't think I could have gotten through it without my parents support. We will be waiting to hear back from you how you are doing and how your surgery went. I am sure you will do fine! It can be nerve-wracking thinking about it all, but in the end you will be SOOOOOOO happy to have your own breasts and body back with no JUNK in it! Guest guest
Cristy I am so excited for you. I really wish that was my position. That's envy for ya hey? Take the spotlight off of your good news. What a freak eh? hehe You are gonna feel so much better when you are safely back at home and resting and allowing your body to repair itself. Will your mom stay for a couple of days to help out or just the one day to babysit. Is this going to be a one day procedure or overnight? You've got a good attitude Cristy. If theres a choice between health or boobs, let there be health. I'm sending lots of good healing vibes your way kiddo. Take care and good luck!
