Sorry that I took so long to send this e-mail. When I got back yesterday my mind was so overwhelmed that I read a few scriptures and went to sleep for the rest of the day. I met with my doctors and they are having a second pathologist to read my liver biopsy to get a second opinion on the results since the findings seem to be more severe and they want to make sure. The results from my last hiv study was also back with shock them both. Even with the new strong combination of HIV meds my cells have dropped to 23 and with this amount I will not be able to receive any type of liver treatment. The viral load has gone up to 10,000,000 from 5,000,000 which is what the last study showed. My hep c viral load is also a lot higher ( 25,000,000 ). I asked them what to do next and my first priority is to try to control my HIV and that might take 2 to 3 months to accomplish. They added another medication to the already strong combination but there was no way out of that. I have been very close to God through all this situation and I'm so glad of that because my liver is going to have to be on it's own for a while before we can treat it but I know my liver is going to be in good hands as I have been for some time now. They were both amazed the way I look knowing that my inmune system is almost completly gone. I told them that comes out of determination of not surrendering and most important by the peace that trusting God brings into someone's life. I know that whatever happens it will be just the way it is supposed to be and it will be alright. God has his arms wrapped around as I speak and you are doing his will by showing all of us a shining example of true faith and courage. You are truly Blessed .. Would that we could all be like you. I pray for nothing but the very best for you my brother and may God show you nothing but mercy and Grace. I'm once again traveling through some dangerous waters since my t-cells have taken their deepest dive but God has prepared me for moments like this so I'm not afraid because I know God is with me ! Since the cells are so low we are not taking a chance so I'm having my treatment this morning at 9:00am at the hospital. I was planning to meet with my internist tomorrow morning but he is coming by and we will discuss my options later on today. He is a nervous wreck about my situation and I have told him in the past to learn to trust God because I DO ! I'm working on my palace in heaven and I still have a lot more to do to make sure that is all beautiful when I get there so don't worry or be sad because I'm not going home yet besides we are working on a meeting this summer up north and TONY WILL BE THERE ! so Joan & Luanne please do continue to get the meeting planned for us. I can't find the words to thank all of you that sent cards to my mom while in New York. She was very touched by each and everyone of them and also thank you for the beautiful words spoken about me in them. She will be leaving back to Puerto Rico to bring my grandma for burial. They will arrive tomorrow and the funeral is saturday. My mom's address in Puerto Rico is: Blanca Feliciano Calle 210 GS-72 Carolina, PR 00982 I will also be leaving tomorrow as well and will return back to Atlanta 05/28/03. Please continue to keep my family in prayer as we prepare to place my beautiful grandma in the ground. I will miss you with all my heart.
