Guest guest
> > > Do you believe in the theory that if you have a certain blood type should eat a certain food. For example some nutritionists recommends a lot of carbs for A+, which of course is me, but I am fighting this off and trying to have more protein and fats. I am very skinny, carbs seem fine, I dont feel a sugar rush or anything if eat carbs. I put spices like turmeric and curry in my carbs/rice - does this vend off candida? My digestion is very tricky since have lymphedema and lymphatics in stomach and intestines are very swollen. I thought I had crohns or gastritis, it turned out to be lymphedema.........after 6 years. +++Hi Steve. No, I do not believe in any theories that humans requires different nutrition due to metabolism or blood types. All humans are the same species, just like animals in the wild who are of the same species. For example all cats/tigers are carnivores meaning they are meat eaters. However, animals still follow their instincts in seeking out foods suitable for their species, while humans have lost that ability. The main reason is because of industrialization, i.e. food industry and transportation. Dr. Price writes in his book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, page 464: " We humans have the same rigid restrictions regarding food selection as the simpler forms of life when foods are evaluated from their chemical basis. " On page 415 he writes: " Also, it is not necessary to adopt the foods of any particular racial stock, but only to make our nutrition adequate in all its nutritive factors to the primitive nutrition. Tooth decay is not only unnecessary, but an indication of our divergence from Nature's fundamental laws of life and health. " Also here's a review by the Weston A. Price Foundation on the Blood Type Diet: http://www.westonaprice.org/Eat-Right-4-Your-Type-by--D-Adamo.html You say " since I have lymphedema and lymphatics in stomach and intestines are very swollen. " Were you diagnosed with that, or is that a self-diagnosis, since it doesn't make sense to me. Lymphadema is water retention which doesn't usually occur in the stomach and intestines, it occurs in the limbs. Gas can cause the stomach and intestines to feel swollen, and it can be caused by candida dying off since it produces carbon dioxide. What do you mean by tumeric and curry " vend off " candida? Are you asking whether they are antifungal? All the best, Bee
