Guest guest
" hi there, I get my thyroid-S from medicapharma.com they are the cheapest as the price is wholesale. " Hi Can I just ask - whats the difference between Thyroid-S and Armour? I know thyroid-S is generic, but whats a generic? Thyroid-S seems a lot cheaper than Armour, so I thought I might give it a try. Oh, and while I'm writing, I tried to add 25mg of thyroxin a day to my 3 grains of Armour to stop my foot cramps. I've experimented and found that 25mg a WEEK seems to work Ok. As soon as I took thyroxin on a daily basis I went back to feeling dreadful again, I just wanted to keep sleeping and couldn't do a thing all day, even when I reduced the Armour. It seems my body just doesn't do well on Levothyroxin, so one little 25mg a week does the trick. I still feel quite tired on the day I take it though, maybe I could divide it up with a pill cutter and take a quarter every other day or something. Thank you Sheila for your help - as ever. Guest guest
Hi Sheila Thank you for clarifying that for me, I've been meaning to ask for ages. Enjoy the weekend, Love Janet > > Hi Janet > > Armour is the only desiccated thyroid extract that has been approved by the FDA so people tend to feel safer using Armour. I do believe there is a slight difference in the fillers, but the hormone powder, I understand, is exactly the same for both - though some people say that the generic is less potent than Armour. Many people do very well on Thyroid S and you will only know whether this is the medication for you personally if you try the experiment. > > Luv - Sheila > >
Guest guest
WOW - thanks Jan for giving us the low down on Thyroid S. Certainly, these are a very tempting medication for people who are unable to afford the more expensive Armour and if you find the dose that makes you well, then it might be a good thing for these members to try. I know there are members who have husbands/sons/daughters etc who are also having to purchase Armour themselves, so this could be great news for them. Many thanks to you and Angel. Guest guest
Hi Angel ~ Yes mine is a Visa card... I wish they had just said that to me rather than repeatedly telling me the card had been refused. Or maybe that is how it shows up when they try to process it. I have ordered again and live in hope.... I never made it to Bristol in February as I had planned. We WILL have that coffee one days though Mo > > Hi Mo, they did say they were having trouble with the visa card.! so i sent them a cheque. > last time. will let you no how i get on with them next time i order, maybe in one month or > two. regards angel. >
Guest guest
That link will not work for me for some reason Sheila and if I remember rightly this information in the FILES went out of date arund the time it went into the FILES section in that the company selling the Thyroid-S starting accepting credit cards for the first time around that time - if that makes any sense? So them accepting bank cards/credit cards made life easier all round EXCEPT now it seems they are having problems with VISA cards so I will see how this further attempt goes and, if problematic, will use my credit card instead. Phew! Mo > Mo - there is information in our FILES about this.
