Guest guest
Hi I've had problems with sweating for a long time now;it drives me mad because my face and neck get so red that it's really obvious; I walk to work and gradually get pinker, even if I wear very thin clothes on a cool day. I will be setting off and my mum will be saying " you will catch your death of cold " or " you aren't wearing enough clothes " (I am 56!!)By the time I am in work other staff are saying " you are very red today " ... well its better than yellow!...then I work with the public and they will say " you've got a sweat on! " and I will smile sweetly while thinking wouldn't it be nice if they just ignored it.I keep asking every doc what can be causing it but they have no answer except the menopause and lose weight. My mum has Sjogrens Syndrome but has never had sweating with it.I saw a doc about it last week, she has put me on a low starting dose of oestrogel, which is HRT; I've had HRT before but will try it again to see if I sweat less.If I am no better in a few months she will think again.Anita is right, you need to take HRT for quite a number of weeks to see if you get any benefit.I still wonder if it is related to the AIH.If there are any men with it that would be interesting;it can't be down to the menopause for them. Thank goodness I don't live in a hot country, as I am worse in summer. Love - Pam - Leeds,England AIH 2000
