" Live " yogurt used to help but I am finding that it no longer has the good effect - even trying other brands that have been tested for good bacteria. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Hi Annette, I wonder why you have to take it daily. I thought that after taking a round or two of live acidophillus, the bacteria in your digestive tract would be somewhat restored. However, if antibiotics or steroids are taken, they'll kill off the healthy flora again. I wonder if any of these antivirals also kill the healthy bacteria in our bodies. I wouldn't think so. I hope not. annette barclay wrote: > ledgar@... wrote: Does anyone on this list take > acidophillus? > > Annette's reply: Yes, it is one of the few things that > makes a dent on my digestion problems but I have to > take it every day and try different brands sometimes. > > " Live " yogurt used to help but I am finding that it no > longer has the good effect - even trying other brands > that have been tested for good bacteria. > > __________________________________________________ >
Guest guest
Hi, the common Acidophilus survives only two or three hours in your digestive tract. Guest guest
Hi There, Not meaning to rain on any parades, but my mother had Acidophillus in our house all the time when I was growing up so it was the first thing I tried when was a baby. is five now and I still use it because I know it’ s good for her and won’t hurt her, but I really don’t see in our case that it has really done much noticeable good. It makes me feel better to think I’ m doing something though. Hope this product works better for you. Best Wishes. Walton (5) Nanaimo BC Canada Re: Another canker sore remedy? Randi, That is amazing. I am going to go buy the biotene pronto. I am thinking that maybe the acidophillus could be obtained from yogurt but dont know how much that would require eating. Do you know? Thanks for the info. Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Time to ask to please take the topic of acidophillus off the board... please feel free to write to each other regarding the results etc... We are leading toward topics of homeopathy and there is no research current or in the past regarding the homeopathic medication. As always... please do not be offended by my request, but I would rather these discussions go off list. Thanks so much. Guest guest
Hi Bee and Group, I'm about to start my probiotic phase. I've been doing the 9 day blended foods with great success as I was all gassy and bloated for a while. Anyway onto the next stage. so i've been looking for these non dairy acidiphilus and all I could find at any of the health food stores near me were either dairy based or had fos or maltodextrin in them. I did find new chapters all flora but they have few ingredients i'm not sure of ... they have been grown on fermented soy.. here's the link to the product http://www.new-chapter.com/product/product.lasso?-Search=Action & -Table=P_Web & - Database=NewChapter & -KeyValue=175 or if anyone else knows of other brands that seem to be ok please share many thanks pip
