Do ya'll get tired of all those forwarded emails that have all those >>>>> on them? And are your fingers getting sore from trying to delete them all? Well, I cut and paste them to my Word program. In Word, I tell it to replace all those > and leave the next block blank. BINGO. Those are all gone. Then I can cut and paste it back into my email and it goes on the next person all cleaned up.

Another thing I learned from reading that little book that comes with Windows. I KNEW they sent it with the program for a reason...I just never got around to looking through it past the install program page. Well, in their helpful hints, it says that in an email program, when you want to BCC someone and the BCC isn't showing, click on the little address book next to the To or the CC. BINGO again. It opens up the BCC line and you can send one email to anyone and everyone you know and not have all their email addresses showing. (It also keeps people from passing along your email list to others whom you may not want to see your list.) Or you can do the same thing by going to View and clicking on All Headers. That way it is always showing and I don't have to try to remember to open it the other way.

We have a cousin who sends out all those internet hoaxes (usually about three months after the rest of us have figured out what they were) and he not only doesn't clean up all those >>>, he doesn't cut out all those other email addresses either. By the time I scroll down to what he wants me to see, I am fed up and just hitting delete on the whole blame thing. When I fixed his computer the other day, I made him a list of shortcuts and hints to keep by his computer. Maybe the rest of the family won't be so mad at him now.

I hope these tips help some of you. It sure took me a long time to tumble to these ideas. I guess I might learn a lot more if I finish reading that Windows book. If I find any more helpful hints, I will let you all know.

Yes, that was my experience as well when I was more sensitive.

Keep the CPU and monitor and power adapter as far away from you

as possible, and use extension cords if that will help get them

even further away. Also, laptops were nasty because they were

so close to me, and also because I reacted strongly to LCD screens.

I'm not so sure about the mouse -- whether it should be a ball-mouse

or if a laser-mouse is okay... I've generally used a ball-mouse

just to be safe (still easily found on eBay!)

However, as I've gotten better and found EMF devices which work

for me, my computer's CPU and monitor have edged a bit closer

to me, but probably still are further away than " normal " . Also,

I still run my monitor (CRT) at 800x600 pixels, as I find this

more tolerable than higher resolutions, and also the bigger

pixels keeps me from leaning towards the monitor to see it!
