Guest guest
The evidence that some patients [ maybe mostly those taking T3?] do best with a TSH reading extremely low is for the most part anecdotal and not supported by credible research. Therefore doctors, who place great store in credible research [and very little in anecdotal evidence], pay little heed to it. The fact that most of us here believe the need for a very low TSH reading in those patients may be valid carries little weight and needs to be supported by evidence that doctors value. Meanwhile it seems the best we can do is to try to find a doc who will listen to our concerns and work with us.
