It has been quiet awhile since we have heard from you....I am still active on the group...although not as much as I would like....fine it hard to have enough time to keep up with all the people.... I see that Allec is doing well in school ...good for him...what age is Allec now....almost 7....I would think that if he is saying he is tired or doesn't feel well that he is telling the truth...he is still young enough that school is still fun...get to be with friends etc...but when they get older they can be mighty shifty with their excuses...I have probably heard them all...Not sure if you remember but I have a son who is now 24.....he was diagnosed with UC when he was 3....and then there is Tyler...with being diagnosed at with Crohns..then other auto-immune diseases...including 2 liver diseases...AIH and PSC...so you see I have lived ...lol...to tell the stories...thru 2 boys going thru school...and we all made it....Ty is now 20 and in college.... I would say at this point I can read the boys pretty well...much to their disappointment....even though has been living away for some time...he lives in Atlanta..and we live in NJ....but I can usually tell when he is not feeling well...even on the computer when we are IMing each other...he says....Can't hide anything from you....right they are...lol So I would say ...do the best you can at reading Allec.....but also make sure they don't get the upper hand....he will be a teen soon...and they hate to go to school most of the time...would always rather sleep...lol... I would alot of the time send them off...and tell them that if they really felt like they couldn't make it to call ...and I would come and get them....most of the time they would get thru the day... I am sorry to hear about your mom...it makes it tough when we are so caught up taking care of our children...when they have suh health issues...that life and death goes on.... I have been taking care of my mom for some time...and things have been quite hectic for some time...but I have to keep on keeping on...there is only me to help her...ohhh I have a brother...older...but not what my mom needs...so we tend to burn the candles at both ends and in the middle...sometimes leaving us but a puddle... You mentioned that Allec was in the hosp for 13 days...because of some problems...not sure what you meant... he was playing close to a clothline and he had some scrapes...those ones were enough for a viral current enters his body and similar to numphs. I would imagine he is fine now.... You said...He´s been out of pred since last Sat do you mean that he ran out of pred...or that the doctor had weaned him off of them.... sometimes coming down and then off pred can cause you to feel not so well....like being very tired... because we make our own steroids it takes awhile for our body to pick up the right production when weaning and getting of pred.... if you really think that he has changed alot since being off ...I would let the doctor know...maybe he can put him back on a very low dose and wean slower... well I hope that I have helped alittle... hope to see more from you... take care and talk soon Luanne Ty's mom Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
