Guest guest
Hi Pat, You'll think this is silly because I'm a long way from New York, the Mayo clinic and even the US. I'm in Australia, but my Gastro firmly believes that Dr Czaja at te Mayo clinic is the guru where AIH is concerned. He had a lot of trouble getting my liver enzymes to normal (2 1/2 years) and he eventually wrote to Dr Czaja. His response (I have a copy) was extremely detailed and informative about my particular case. My enzymes are all normal now except for the GGT and Alk Phos which are indicators of AIC. Please let me know if you do eventually see him, I would be interested to know what he's like and whether you think he has helped you.
