Its list price is $14.95 in the U.S., $22.99 in Canada. It's readily available through Amazon.com or through Dr.Palmer's website, liverdisease.com. Excerpts from the book are on the liverdisease.com website, but not the entire text. G. Worman wrote a similar book, a litle more academic in tone, about the same time. I don't have it handy to check the ISBN number. It's also sold through Amazon.com. I think it's equally good. ANOTHER SUBJECT: I saw my GI today for the first time in two years; his office had told me to come in. I asked about my recent episodes of "ghost poop." He said it didn't have any significance ***in my particular case.**** If my lab tests showed different results, then it could matter a great deal. He said my intense fatigue and lack of mental acuity aren't related to liver disease, as my liver numbers are quite good. (That doesn't fit what I read in Palmer, but oh, well.) However, he said I do have considerable on-going anemia of some sort, and I'll do the endoscopy-sigmoidscopy to check that out. I've done it before, no big deal. He said the first indicator that I have anemia is a consistently HIGH platelet count. I'm telling you all this because I've asked the group recently about elevated platelets and palepoop and promised to report when I got some sort of answer. I am traveling to Green Valley, Arizona (short drive south of Tucson) to spend Thanksgiving with my girlfriend. This will be our first Thanksgiving - actually, our first holiday - together. We met about 8 months ago via lovebyrd.com, a personal-ad site somewhat like DAL, except it's open to all disabilities, not just dwarfism.
