Guest guest
One of the MANY reasons I quit drinking beer (for the most part) 6 years ago was that some mornings I would wake up with a swollen face/eyes. On TWO occasions, I woke up in the morning with a strange feeling in my face. I could tell something was wrong. When I looked in the mirror, I was startled to see that my eyes had swollen almost shut and my whole face was swollen. I'm talking disfigured like the elephant man or something!! I would relate it to someone who has a reaction to bee stings or spider bites and their face swells. Because I was a single guy, I didn't worry too much about it and just took some Benadryl and it would go away in a few hours. At the time, I would sometimes sleep on an old waterbed that had been stored and you could smell mildew from the surface of the mattress. Back then, I had bad nightsweats almost all the time, so I would imagine the sweat seeping down to the mildew on the waterbed mattress... mixed with the warm temperature of the bed... enouraged mildew growth, which I was always " allergic " too. Didn't take me long to figure that out, so I donated it to charity and began sleeping in my other bedroom. Do you think the sinus swelling was a purely raging candida growth going on, as just a progression of the illness?? I quit drinking 2 months later and went on a big health kick. It was at that point (cutting out the booze) that my candida showed itself with achy joints and other symptoms that had never showed themselves while I was " feeding the yeast " . I'm just asking because the new, dark, beautiful bags/circles under my eyes look a little strange this morning, and that reminded me of the swollen face episodes many years ago, and I'm interested if others here had the same thing happen.
