Please do alarm someone needlessly. There is no concern with taking

natural vitamin A in cod liver oil or from fish oil or halibut liver

oil while pregnant! It is synthetic vitamin A that can cause

problems, for anyone, not only during pregnancy, but those doses would

have to be 50,000 IUs per day for more than 10 months. The doses I

recommend are perfectly safe. Also do a search at www.westonaprice.org

for their recomendations on vitamin A doses.

thought to be teratogenic (can cause birth defects) in high doses. I

had a scare and had to have amniocentesis. I've included some links

about it.
