Hi Harper.....and Ann....

Ann I know you have no idea who I am...and am sorry about that...I have really been with the group for about 4 yrs now....but have recently have not been able to active...try to read when I can...but the group has really grown and I also belong to another group for LiverDisease.....

Harper I am sure remembers me.....I have a son...who is now 19....Geez Harper do you believe that....he getting to be a man.....YIKES.....not my little boy anymore....

Tyler...my son....has AIH and another liver disease known as PSC......he also has Crohns and RA and Vasculitis.....

Anyways.....the reason I am writing is because of the Shingles....Ty had the chicken pox when he was about 3....and had a normal case....last fall his band teacher was out of school for a couple of days with shingles ...and then came back.....in was a short time there after that Ty got shingles....and ended up in the hosp.....we don't know of him being in contact with anyone with chicken pox at about the same time...they are the same virus.....but he did get shingles ...Ty does take anti rejection meds...cyclosporine....and alot of other meds....so don't know if that is what really made him so susceptible to getting them or what...but just be cautious....
