Hi Bert,

I hope you are doing well today.

Thanks for thinking of me. :-)

I read the posts on here every day. Since I have some

other kind of liver problem, I don't post much.

I think I posted on here that I had surgery on Nov.8th

of this year. I had a very huge liver cyst drained in

my right liver lobe. I had a quart of fluid in it.

Also, while the surgeon was in there he did 3 liver

biopsies. They ruled out cancer, AIH and cirrohisis

(sp)? I had my liver enzymes checked 2 weeks after

surgery and I think the liver specialist was surprised

that the ALT enzyme was still at 82. He thought that

the cyst was compressing on my liver drainage system

causing the elevation. I still have several other

smaller cysts in my liver that was too risky to drain,

they said. I have what they call polycystic liver

disease, which is rare. Usually is connected with

polycystic kidney disease. But when I had my

ultrasound and CAT scan in late May, the kidneys had

no cysts . All he tells me is that I have no on going

or progressive liver disease. He says some things

there just are no answers to. (????)

I talked to a dr by phone at the Mayo clinic. He says

liver cysts can , on rare occasions elevate the

enzymes. I am thinking of sending my test results to

him. He wants to study them.

I sure hope you find out your problem . It sounds as

though you have been really feeling lousy.

Someone asked about the ANA (antineuclear antibodies)

.. Was it you? I had two tests come back postive for

that and I believe the dr. really thought I had AIH.

But I found you can have positive ANA for other

autoimmune diseases also. I think I have rheumatoid

arthritis. But have not been tested. I hurt quite a

lot in my joints, but I have a high pain tolerance.I

guess.

I really enjoy your posts. All in here are so

thoughtful and kind, I just keep coming back and

reading.. LOL

Well, Bert, I didnt mean to ramble on so. I wish you

and everyone on here a very Happy and Healthier New

Year.

Warm hugszzz to you, Bert,

Lyn () in Ark.
