Guest guest
Hello Ruth! If I was in the area I definetly would drop by to see her but I will lift her up in prayer. When I was working for the oncology practice; my md was affiliated with St ph's Hospital here in Atlanta. The nurses dressed like little nuns ( they looked adorable ); anyhow, for people that didn't have anyone to come by they had some staff members to pay them a visit and pray with them. I thought that was very nice and sweet of them. Maybe that location can offer the same until someone can go by. Take Care ! TONY

She said they had her on versed (not sure if I'm spelling it right) she slept most of the day. They are talking about transferring her to Seattle to University of Washington Med School for shunt surgery. As I understand it, they will put a hole in the liver and make a new vein hooked up to the kidney to relieve pressure off the portal vein. This may increase her chances for transplant surgery. Anyway, Katheryn is feeling very alone right now, some friends promised to be coming to visit and keep canceling out so she is feeling very lonely and afraid, which we know how that can be when we are seriously ill and need support around us. I am trying to see if I can visit her soon, I am also having some problems with internal bleeding so I'm not sure when I can go. Anyway, Katheryn is at St. ph's hospital in Bellingham and she would love to hear from people. Sorry this is so long, just thought you all would like to be praying for Katheryn, she is also new to the support group like myself. We aren't sure but we think we are in a small group representing people with AIH in the Pacific Northwest area. Thanks everyone for being there, you mean a lot to me, you already feel like family. Katheryn feels the same way, this group has given us hope.Ruth, AIH, dx, 3/

Guest guest
Tony, Thanks so much for the kind note. I will send a copy. I appreciate your idea. I think it means a lot to that we are all pulling for her. I am glad you can have your time with your family soon. I will be praying for you, that can be hard at times when family has certain expectations, I hope you will have a precious time together. I think it is so neat how you are proactively seeking answers and you are staying in the race towards wellness.
