HI BOZENA, YES THEY GET REAL BAD, SO BAD THAT I HAVE TO SIT WHERE EVER I AM, AND JUST WAIT IT OUT...WHETHER I AM IN THE GROCERY STORE, OR DRIVING DOWN THE STREET, ITS GETTING PRETTY ANNOYING AND CAN BE DANGEROUS TOO WHILE I AM DRIVING... I HAVE FALLEN TO THE FLOOR ONCE WITH THE SHARP SPASMS; BUT THEY ARE NOT CONSISTENT, IT DEPENDS ON WHAT I AM DOING. ALSO, EVERY TIME I MOVE, IT SOUNDS LIKE MY BONES ARE SNAPPING, CRACKLING, AND POPPING....(EVERYWHERE) LOL! I AM ALSO HAVING A BONE DENSITY TEST IN JAN. MY TOES BREAK ALL THE TIME!! WITH JUST THE SLIGHTEST TOUCH! THESE SPASMS I GET, I REMEMBER HAVING THEM WHEN MY BLOOD PRESSURE WAS UP...BUT I KEEP CHECKING IT AND ITS FINE. SO ONCE AGAIN, JUST ONE OF THOSE THINGS THAT I WILL PROBABLY NOT HAVE THE ANSWER TO... AS FAR AS THE DOSE FOR PRED. I AM ON 20MG PER DAY. THE HYPERNESS HAS WORE OFF AFTER ONLY 2 DAYS, BUT THIS MIGHT BE BEC OF THE OTHER MEDS. I AM ON. I AM ON. 20mg/d of Prednisone isn't a very high dose at all, but perhaps it might be causing mood swings until you get accustomed to dealing with it. Perhaps the mood swings are partly due to worry? For the first few hours after taking it, I am jumpy and feel like I can "feel" my blood pumping through my veins. The feeling continues throughout the day off and on. Sometimes the jumpiness gets so bad that I just walk around and around! But by night, it is all better, then in the AM, I start it all again.
