Guest guest
Bert, you ask about spasms in the spine. I had these each time I had a fracture in my spine, but the way you describe it I don't think you would have a fracture because the spasms wouldn't go away that quickly. I found that they lasted about 3 to 4 weeks after I had a fracture and they happened if I twisted or turned at the waist, even in bed - it wouldn't take much at all. They were incredibly painful - are yours very bad? What dosage of prednisone are you on? About the " hyper " feeling, I presume that would decrease as your dose was decreased??? However, a number of people in the group have complained about mood swings - could be a side effect of prednisone too. I hope there's nothing seriously wrong with your back and I really hope that you feel well enough to enjoy the New Year. Best wishes to you and your family, Bozena > Message: 18 > Date: Sat, 29 Dec 2001 00:31:19 EST > From: sunshinedotson@... > Subject: QUESTION? > > > > HI EVERYONE, > CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHETHER OR NOT PREDNISONE CAN CAUSE > SPASMS IN THE SPINE OR ANYWHERE ELSE FOR THAT MATTER?? > ....THE FIRST TIME I WAS ON IT FOR ONLY 1 WEEK, I HAD THEM; THEN WHEN I WENT > OFF IT(DOC'S ORDERS) > I NOTICED THEY WENT AWAY.
