Guest guest
I go to University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. It's a GREAT hospital with smart and caring doctors. I have the head of the Gastro department, his name is Dr. Reddy and he is really good. I haven't been talked to about a transplant of any kind, but I'm sure he would be able to help you. If you want I can give you their phone number. Guest guest
I live in Virginia and MCV has a good program however I felt more comfortable at UVA. These are not large hospitals like 's Hopkins but I do not know where you live. I have been very happy with my treatment at UVA which is in Charlottesville VA. I know that Randy and Cheryl live in West VA and they probably can give you info if you are further north. Some members are in Florida and they are very happy. Hope this is helpful. in Virginia
Guest guest
Hi, I too had mono but at age 18....I have always wondered whether there was a connection between that and my being diagnosed with AIH some 20 years later. My AIH caused cirrhosis and at age 48 I had a successful liver transplant. My transplant was performed at the University of Pittsurgh Medical Center (Presbyterian Hospital), which I would highly recommend. If you have any questions or if I can be of any help regarding the transplant process, please feel free to email me privately at: Bonmanpat@... Bonnie P. AIH and post transplant
