See -- if you left our group, you'd miss educational bits like that. I have a friend who's away from home for several weeks, in an RV. She checks in with me from public libraries. See if you such a connection near you, if getting a computer and an on-line connection isn't possible.

Caroline and others -- you probably know by now that Prednisone doesn't just cause overall weight gain. Prednisone causes (or may cause) fat pad accumulation in very specific places, with an increase in the waistline, abdomen, buttocks, breasts, shoulderblades, wrists, and collarbones, in particular. And, of course, there's the moonface. At the same time, muscles in the arms and legs become smaller.

I was immensely relieved when my doctor told me this change was typical. I had no idea what was happening and very much blamed myself.
