Guest guest
I have Hashi's. I'm currently taking 90 mcg of Armour, (but still increasing every 3-4 weeks). I'm already feeling better than I have in years -- " knock on wood " ! I suspect that I've been Hypo_T for over 10 years, under-treated with Synthroid for the past 2 and this summer was rx'd with Hashi's. While taking Synthroid -- I became completely disabled due to horrible unexplained neck/joint pain, " extreme " fatigue, depression, low blood pressure, brain fog, etc. I've had other auto-immune issues in the past 6 years and still haven't solved the complete puzzle. Put it this way, before Armour -- I lived most of my days on the sofa, with maybe an hour or two a day that felt like creating, cooking, anything -- 6 weeks after being on Armour, I joined a gym! Unbelievable! I wasn't even able to drive myself to the corner grocery store a few months ago! Every ones experiences are different. When I read many of the postings on this list -- I feel very fortunate to have found Armour & the support/knowledge of the members here. I've been dealing with MD's, (endos) that are clueless, (idiots)! I fell that I'm finally proving to them that many of the drugs they had rx'd (for the hypo-T symptoms) where making me very ill! BTW, I am taking a lot of supplements but I'm completely drug free! Smiles! Best wishes, gg in KY --- and Irwin <familyirwin@...> wrote: > Hi Has anyone with Hashimoto Thyroiditis had success > using Armour? Guest guest
Hi GG! Thanks for your reply. What other autoimmune issues are you dealing with? Also, please share me what supplements you are taking. I am wanting to be free from this disease! I was on synthroid and it nearly stole my life too! I was majorly depressed. Oh, it was horrible. then, nothing for 2 years, felt great, then got relapse. I am seriously considering something else, because Synthoid didn't do well with me. Thanks so much for sharing! You give me hope! Blessings, gg <burns_gg@...> wrote: I have Hashi's. I'm currently taking 90 mcg of Armour, (but still increasing every 3-4 weeks). Guest guest
I have/had Sarcodosis in my lungs -- has been in remission,(I hope) for past 5 years. Also, some outbreaks with Epstein Barr and now some stange dx's with my eyes. I suspect the Synthroid, then later Levoxyl was either pooling in my cells or I had a toxicity to it -- similar to many of the other hundreds of drugs that docs tried to give me for Fibromyalgia! They just could NOT get why everything always made me so sick and why I was so hypersensitive to all medications. FOOLS -- my thyroid was shutting down. (I've seen dozens of docs these past 7 years alone. I will write to you off line later about the supplements -- long story. But mostly amino acids and adrenal supports. Must get to bed for now, gg --- and Irwin <familyirwin@...> wrote: > Hi GG! > Thanks for your reply. What other autoimmune > issues are you dealing with? Guest guest
Hi : I've been on Armour for about a year now and I do feel better than I did when I was using synthroid. We are still in the test stages, though. We are keeping an open mind. I do have one issue of concern. I have had far more frequent episodes of heart pounding since the use of Armour. There were far fewer with the synthroid. My blood levels have shown improvement as well, so, I would say that at least things are going in the right direction. Hope this helps! Take care and God bless!! Steph SJO :0) -------------- Original message -------------- From: and Irwin <familyirwin@...> Hi Has anyone with Hashimoto Thyroiditis had success using Armour? If so, how much replacement thyroid hormone do you take to be effective? Thanks!
