LC AIH (0701) Illinois [ ] 5 Year Liver Transplant Anniversary! Hello everyone! Just wanted to start out the week and wish everyone a safe and healthy week. March 11th I celebrate my 5 year liver transplant anniversary!! Wow, it is hard to believe that 5 years have gone by already! Time flies when you are having fun. The first year was real tough, and then last year I had the flare up of the autoimune Hepatitis and that was a challenge being put on prednisone again, but I made it through, and I feel making through 5 years is quite an accomplishment. Especially with all the meds we transplant recipients take. They are so hard on the body! I just want to thank everyone for being there for me, those who have been and those who continue to be there. I appreciate it very much. I have learned to value each day so much more. Each day is truly a " gift " . Even if things are going not so good, it is still a " GOOD " day. God has truly blessed me and my family and he has allowed me to be on this earth long enough to see my first grandchild born, and he is also another great gift, and to see another neice be born in my family. Remember to tell those you love everyday how much you truly love them, cause you never know if it will be the last time you see them. Live each day to the fullest and keep God in your heart. God Bless each and everyone of you! Love in Christ, Lori Be an organ donor; sign your card and let your family know your wishes!!
