Hi, I went to the doctors and after waiting what seemed a life time i was eventualy called in sweating and very wet. He took my blood preasure and said it was high I wasn't surprissed. I explained to him about my sweating about how my temperature was always very low but I felt very cold and shivering yet I was still sweating to the extent that my hair was dripping. He said that my blood preasure and sweating was all related to the AIH HOORAY at last he can see what is happening this looked promising. From there it went downhill he said that AIH is so rare that nobody knows much about it so there is nothing they can do for me untill more research has been done just keep taking the tablets and go back next week. As I slowly walked out of his sugery dripping he came over and gave me some more tissues and said " are you depressed about anything " were do I begin. No I said just the normal. But when is anyone going to do any work on this problem. He didnt know but he said there is still a lot to learn about AIH come back next month for your blood test.

Has anyone else had the feeling that you have a disease that no one wants to know about or is it because it is not interesting enough or am I not worth bothering with I feel I am hitting my head against a brick wall.

PS he also thinks my strokes have got something to do with the AIH. It's the first I have heard of it any ideas. Love and Hugs Jeanette UK AIH dx 1998 Cirrhosis dx 2001

I thought it was from the prednisone, then from hormone levels, etc. But I was on HRT, but a couple of months ago, I just decided that I was tired of taking yet ONE more pill....so stopped, but before stopping, the sweats happened. I have been reading with interest the discussion. Since I have been out of the loop for a while, I am eagerly waiting to see what someone finds.

Debby,I too sweat all the time, but I thought it was from prednisone. It never occurred to me it was my disease.

I sweat all the time too, even when everyone around me is cold. How is it

related to the liver?

That's a pretty name, Shireen. Did you know it also means "sweet" in Persian (although you might not be Persian!). aisha Re: [ ] Doctor/Jeanette>Date: Tue, 9 Jul 2002 14:58:43 EDT>>Debby,>I too sweat all the time, but I thought it was from prednisone. Yes, I know it means sweet in Persian. How do you know that. I was in Iran

and the people I visited gave me that name.

My name, Aisha, is Arabic, and my roommate is Iranian, and she told me so because we used to have a mutual friend with that name Shireen. Which part of the country do you live in? Nice to hear from you! aisha Re: [ ] Doctor/Jeanette> >Date: Tue, 9 Jul 2002 14:58:43 EDT> >> >Debby,> >I too sweat all the time, but I thought it was from prednisone. Hi Aisha,

Thanks for getting back to me. Yours is a pretty name as well. What is

your Iranian roommates first name. My niece married an Iranian.

I live in a small town in NJ across the Delaware River from Philadelphia PA.

Where are you?

Shireen
