Guest guest
Hi, Carol. At this point I would suggest that you find a doctor you trust and follow his advice. If you've had a complete thyroid panel done you can post the results here [be sure to include ranges] for comments. Unfortunately the causes of hypothyroidism are often unknown. In Hashimoto's [which you apparently do not have] the immune system attacks and eventually destroys the thyroid, but the cause of that is also unknown. AFAIK viruses [varii?] are not implicated. Unfortunately the Rife machine is a complete quack device and the results with it will not exceed that of a placebo. Here's just an example of what you can find on the internet and elsewhere: > *A quack ends up where a quack belongs* (7/12/2002) > When I did my regular link check this week I found that the site > belonging to the Royal *Rife* Research Society had disappeared. > Because the *Rife* *machine* is a classic in medical quackery, I went > looking to see where this site had gone to. Imagine my surprise to > find that the owner of the site was spending some time as a guest of > the government. Bryon Krueger is doing 30 months inside for > selling fraudulent medical devices, although he probably won't notice > the sentence because he is doing it concurrently with 12 years for > conspiracy to kidnap and murder someone. This is consistent behaviour, > because anyone selling or promoting the use of *Rife* machines is > actively participating in an activity which has the potential to > deprive people of their liberty (by keeping them sick when they could > be well) and to kill them by convincing them that useless treatments > can work for terminal diseases. Unfortunately you will also likely find plenty of con artists quite willing to sell you a Rife machine, or any number of other quack devices such as the " zapper " . Guest guest
You are sadly wrong about the Rife machine. I've been totally sick one day and totally better the next after using the machine. There are thousands of other people that would tell you about that also. I've been using it for years to keep my lyme disease at bay. The rife machine was what brought me from being totally disabled (couldn't walk from the kitchen to the living room without passing out) to funciontal (single mom, full time job, etc). I thank God every day for Mr Rife. I'll see if I can call the doctor and get the test results faxed to me regarding the hypo and post to the list. Anyone have any ideas about what other thyroid alternatives there are outside of synthroid (which I obvoisly had a severe reaction to!)?????? What do you guys take?? Armour? Any other more natural ones that aren't pig? I think i do better with bovine (any exist? names?) Guest guest
There is Armour of course and then there is Naturethroid which is just like Armour but has less fillers so more hypoallergenic but both are from pig. Guest guest
You need to try them out for yourself. Everyone reacts differently to a medication. I use Armour and I haven't had any problems- but that is just me Nancie -- Re:hey guys need ur help Which do you guys like better the Armour or the Naturethyroid? Guest guest
That¹s right, yay, you said it right. That is JUST YOU. I tried Armour 3x over a four year period with my doc¹s monitoring and each time it made me SICK. We had all my numbers optimized. I had NO hypo symptoms PRIOR to trying the armour and then it make me ILL. But, as you say, that¹s just me. sue On 9/4/08 1:16 AM, " Nancie Barnett " <deifspirit@...> wrote: > > > > You need to try them out for yourself. Everyone reacts differently to a > medication. Guest guest
So what are you taking now?? That's what happened to me with the synthroid... My symptoms of hypo increased big time after taking the med... Carol > > > > > > > > > You need to try them out for yourself. Everyone reacts differently to a > > medication. Guest guest
I take Levoxyl and Cytomel. I have Stage 7 adrenal fatigue and any ³pre-mix² of t4/t3 is not good for me with that condition. Armour has a very high ratio of t3 to t4 38 mg of t4 and 9 mg of t3 in each grain. I take .112 mcg of levo and 5 mcg of cytomel (t3) Armour made me bloated, muscle aches, weakness. I had NONE of that before I took it. I added just a bit to my levo and it happened. I tried switching to almost 3 grains of armour. And it happened. I tried levo/cyto and half armour and it happened. My body does not like or want pig thryoid hormone, it¹s pretty clear. Levo and cytomel are bio-identical hormones and that is what works for me. Guest guest
Sue- there are many people who take Armour and love it. My own thyroid MD is one of them. But, since everyone is genetically different, what works for me may not work for you and you have to do trial and error to find the right medication for yourself. -- Re: Re:hey guys need ur help That¹s right, yay, you said it right. Guest guest
Nancie, Part of being in health care, if you are, is personality, putting the patient at ease, and diplomacy. You are being EXTREMEMLY aggressive and combative. I tried armour. I WANTED to be an advocate of Armour. I gave it THREE tries. As I said, it¹s just ME. Please pick someone else, I am truly done with your bickering. sue On 9/4/08 3:21 PM, " Nancie Barnett " <deifspirit@...> wrote: > > > > Sue- there are many people who take Armour and love it. Guest guest
I am not being aggressive and combative. I am simply pointing out that what works for one member here may not work for another! I Have never stated that everyone must be on Armour only- NEVER! That post did not even state that you must be on Armour- it stated you have to find the med that works for you. It was a message of support to you. I am sorry that you did not take it that way. I am not sure how the you can take a simple post like that and make it hostile. Unbelievable. But, what I do know is that I am a great provider because I have a waiting list of 2 weeks to see me. My patient base is larger than my partners who are MD's and you know why- it is because I listen to them and spend time with them. -- Re: Re:hey guys need ur help > > That¹s right, yay, you said it right. > That is JUST YOU. > > I tried Armour 3x over a four year period with my doc¹s monitoring and each > time it made me SICK. > > We had all my numbers optimized.
