Guest guest
I have Hashi's and do take iodine. My experiment has ended, a little early to be sure, but I felt the benefits of iodine by far outweighed the possible risks, and since I had already been taking 50 mgs. per day prior to diagnosis with no ill effects and some good " side effects " I have ended my experiment and am working my way back up to 50 mgs. per day; currently taking 3 iodoral per day. I do believe that in some cases high doses are a good idea; not for everyone, certainly; I don't recommened one size fits all of anything! But I do believe that high doses are warranted in many cases and do a lot of good, especially when severe defiencies are present, cancer, goiter (can be caused by deficiency of iodine), and a number of other things that iodine seems tailor made to treat, judging by current research.
