Although that is not Chuck's field I'd be willing to bet he knows vastly

more than 99% of homeopathic practitioners about that field. And very

probably more than the other 1% too.

So it's very hard to test. How convenient. And how disappointing that

NOT ONE SINGLE CREDIBLE TEST has ever shown any benefit above chance or

placebo. If I'm wrong I'm still waiting to see that test. At a glance

the references you provide would not seem to qualify.

I would think Chuck would know something about homeopathy b/c some of

the same principles apply. as I am sure you know, the British monarchy

uses alternative medicine and homeopathy.

I'm sure it wouldn't make any difference what the British Monarchy uses. They

don't live in the real world. They are isolated from the stresses and strains of

normal people, live in lovely homes, have oodles of money and no worries other

than how they look and who should say what about what. It's like living in a

bubble. Also their genes are from a small gene poole that has seemed to have

stood them in good stead for the last hundred years or so. They are not an

example of anything real.

,

The FDA approved Synthroid (and many generics) in July of 2002. Before that, it

had tacit approval due to the grandfather clause. It had been in use for many

years before the FDA approval process existed.

I'm guessing there were many thousands of them that knew about the 2002

approval, when you didn't.

I actually had read that before.

> Actually Roni, if you go to FDA's website, under their 'Orange Book' (all

'patented' drugs are listed there), you'll find there are only 2 doses of

levothyroxine (including Synthroid) that have full FDA approval (250 ug and 300

ug)...

This page lists all doses as approved:

http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cder/ob/docs/temptn.cfm

Perhaps the confusion is because Synthroid was never approved.

Roni,

That is not exactly correct. Bush's EPA program simply stopped scheduled

retro-fits on older systems. The requirements for new ones were left in

place. There was no retreat on pollution controls, just a postponement

of any advancement, of the extension to in-place plants.

It seems pretty much the same result to me.

There are more old ones than new ones, and

the pollution continues.

Sorry, I meant Synthroid was never patented.
