Guest guest
Thanks - I wish that, too, for both of us. All of us here actually. My husband just told me that he thinks I am a hypochondriac. It's not that I haven't known it for a while but he never admitted it before. I have felt alone in this healing process for a while now and hearing him say it was devastating. I feel completely lost and alone. Just glad all of you are here. Guest guest
Don't fret... I think my wife is a hypochondriac too. I think all husbands feel that way about thier wives. I do know that my wife has pretty severe candida issues too, as do you. There were times in my life where I was either a hypo or psychosomatic too, many years ago. But I'm beginning to think that many of those episodes were candida-induced. And that the 75% of doctor's visits in the US of symptoms that are " in the head " are really candida (or at least bad- diet) related. You're not crazy... I'm not crazy... my wife is not crazy. And I think this diet will help ease a lot of yours (and my wife's) various anxieties, obssessions, fears, worries, REAL physical symptoms that doctor's can't figure out, etc..... I'm heading up to Ohio this weekend to play guitar at a big megachurch there, and since I'll be staying with friends, I'm not starting the diet yet. But when we get home, we will take the next big steps towards that. (Breads and grains). Of course it will get worse before it gets better for all of us. You're a pastor's wife... you realize that the enemy won't give up without a fight. So just keep fighting back. Doug > > > > I had mono beginning of this year. Guest guest
Hi a, I know how you feel, my family think I am a hypochondriac too and maybe even that I am " wasting " my time & money on all the diet/supplements etc etc... Just remember how hard it is for people who are not suffering from this to fully understand the effects it can have on you. I know I might think this was all made up if I hadn't been effected by it so much myself. We know your not crazy! And your definitely not alone. One of the hardest challenges of candida is that people don't fully understand/sympathise like they do with more " traditional/common " illnesses. But rest assured it's a challenge that you've been dealt in this life, because God beleives you have the strength to overcome it. ~The best is always yet to come~ Amber > > My husband just told me that he thinks I am a hypochondriac. Guest guest
a, How awful a. I think since people with candida often " look " healthy, others have a hard time understanding how devastating the symptoms can be internally. I am so sorry that your husband doesn't understand what you are going through. I can see how that would make this process that much harder, but hang in there, you are doing the right thing, even if he doesn't understand it. " ) Jecca --- " a K. Guest guest
Thank you all for your support regarding this subject. I feel bad for posting this information about my husband but I was very emotional last night - raging hormones and the conversation with him regarding my health issues. I am glad all of you understand. I have no doubt that these symptoms are real and not in my head. Blessings, a >a, >Its hard when our nearest and dearest family members don't or won't >understand. Guest guest
a, I gave this advice to someone else previously.. have your husband READ the information at Bee's site. Print it off. Ask him as your husband to read it so that he may better understand the issues at hand. REgards On Dec 4, 2007 1:07 PM, a K. Guest guest
Hi , I have given him some information but I am not sure he read it. Which part in particular would you recommend? There is so much. I printed off the list of illnesses associated with candida and causes. a >a, I gave this advice to someone else previously.. have your husband READ the information at Bee's site. Guest guest
Hi a, sorry about your dh--it is hard for others to understand our symptoms, sigh. I think 2 good files to print are the Curing Candida, How to Get Started file, and the Candida Basics by Bee, both of which are located under Bee's Candida Articles & How To Get Started. Neither is as long as the main article, so maybe he might read them. I know my dh doesn't feel like reading health articles. Good luck, Lora > > Hi , > I have given him some information but I am not sure he read it. Which part > in particular would you recommend? There is so much.
