Guest guest
try getting enough thyroid meds and magnesium http://www.magnesiumforlife.com what thyroid ed sre you on and how much? Gracia Hi all, I'm having trouble with muscle cramping. Dr. has been watching my potassium and I'm getting plenty, so I know that's not the issue. I desperately need exercise and can go less than a hundred yards before my hips begin cramping and the pain stops my intended exercise. Does anyone know of any auto immunes that would cause muscle problems? I've already been diagnosed with 4 and I'm beginning to wonder if this isn't an issue. Guest guest
I had that problem too, but when I took vitamins and added magnesium and my dosage was at the correct amount the cramps went away. Guest guest
, Magnesium absolutely works. My wife and I ride bicycles near Seattle. It is very hilly here. We would wind up with horrendous cramps and muscle spasms. I mean the kind where your leg tries to get up and walk away with out you, and it feels like it might just succeed. We use a powdered instant magnesium preparation (ionic fizz) and it works great for cramp relief and rescue. -Mike wrote: > > Hi all, > I'm having trouble with muscle cramping. Dehydration or one of several nasty diseases can cause this, but most likely it is just a lack of either calcium or magnesium. Chuck

Guest guest
Thanks Mike. Is this a product readily available retail? Where do you buy it?
Guest guest
- What are you doing about the metabolic syndrome aka reaven's syndrome? As far as the leg cramps goes; dehydration; low calcium or low magnesium levels. Taking calcium supplements and magnesium supplements can help with the cramp and making sure you are hydrated. I take 700 mg of magnesium daily which helps my leg cramps from lupus and fibro. Nancie -- Re: Muscle Cramping Anyone? > > Which auto-immune diseases do you have? Guest guest
, You are most likely short on calcium. You might want to try adding " calcium citrate " to your daily intake, perhaps three or four tablets a day, split up however you want. Also, a two gram a day consumption of Vitamin C might be good, and 1200 IU Vitamin D is a possibility. Of course, your medical provider should have told you these things, so follow his/ger advice. Guest guest
Hi Nancie, Dr. hasn't addressed the Reaven's specifically, been too busy getting my T hormones in line. I am checking my HA1C to make sure my blood sugars don't go bonkers. So far they've been under 7 by my cutting out the amylose. Transdermal magnesium has been suggested, and I'm going to research that and give it a try. Can't hurt for sure. > > - > What are you doing about the metabolic syndrome aka reaven's syndrome? > As far as the leg cramps goes; dehydration; low calcium or low magnesium > levels.
