Guest guest
I could use some information. I am a 50 year old female with hypothroidism. I take 200 mcg levothyroxine daily. The last 4 years I have been gaining weight with a total addition of 40 lbs to my body. I have pretty much eliminated all white carbs and sugars from my diet. I was on prempro .45mg/1.5mg for menopause symptoms but took myself off about 6 weeks ago. I was reading some negative test studies on the prempro. While I was on this drug my weight gain went over the edge. Let me add that until the age of 40 I never had a problem with my weight. I was always within 8 pounds of my high school weight. I am back on a daily excercise program with cardio. I am struggling with this weight gain. I know the intake, portions, and diet is the major factor but I am struggle in taking off any pounds. My girlfriend and I were eating the same foods and the same exercise for 6 weeks. She took off 14 pounds I took off 4. I would like to look into a program to get my thyroid back on track and stop treating the symptoms. Any ideas on how to begin?
