Guest guest
Hello I have a friend who has a bad antibiotic induced yeast infection. Just wondering if coconut oil would be worth applying topically?? Anyone have any suggestions for immediate relief. Thanks! Andy Here is his story: It is a rash and raw skin that goes from below my belly button, pelvic (from left hip to right hip), groin (covering every part), covering the skin from my scrotum to the region of my anal area, and covering my upper legs (front side and back). It's a huge area. We had tried all the over-the-counter stuff and it wouldn't work. We have tried most of the prescription stuff and they don't work. Both the over-the-counter and the other medications caused my skin to peel away. This has been going on now for eight months. It began with a bladder infection for which I took antibiotics for six weeks. Then the yeast infection showed up because of the antibiotics, followed by a new bladder infection, followed by another treatment of antibiotics, followed by a yeast infection. Now the yeast infection just hasn't gone away because of so many cycles of bladder infections and antibiotics. Very frustrating and very difficult. I just don't know what to do to get rid of this, and the doctors are running out of solutions. My family doctor finally referred me to a dermatologist, but my first appointment is not till March.
