Guest guest
- Aww, honey I'm so sorry for your weight struggles ... I know how it can be to eat less than everyone else and still gain like 3 pounds in a day lol (my own experience). To start of with, what are your lab numbers and their reference ranges? That's a great place to start: we would like to see a TSH test, Free T4, Free T3, T4 total, and T3 total. If those aren't quite right, weight will deffinitely still be an issue. There is much more to say on this subject but lets see your numbers first honey! Don't worry, these things will all work out just fine, I bet you just need a higher dose and possibly a different medication ... don't fear, it CAN be done! :-) In a message dated 7/23/07 3:37:21 PM, lisakroitzsch@... writes: > > hello to all- I am needing advice badly- I don't know what to do > anymore! Guest guest
Hi , Welcome, if you are new to the group! My advice, get off the synthroid. I was on it since the mid 1980's and went on Armour thyroid this past April. I have lost 10# since and feel much better although I still have aways to go. Synthroid did nothing for me except put weight on me, I was 5' 2 " and weighed 119 before synthroid and Hashi's. This past year when my weight went to 150 I knew I had to make a change. Oh yeah, it also made my hair get thin. Not losing any now. Good luck to you and stay in touch. This is a great group and they help you keep your sanity too. Guest guest
Hi , YOU'RE NOT ALONE!!! This is such a fixable thing. It just takes alot of patience combined with a GOOD DR. and the PROPER meds. Synthroid certainly wasn't IT for me. I nearly died on the stuff. I am now stablilizing and starting to lose. Once your body is getting the correct amount of hormone and you have proper diagnosis and supplements, you will see the pounds come off. I felt so alone in my challenge to get all the components right and get rid of the pounds, I started a support group just for that purpose. Guest guest
First, it sounds like you need to get off Synthroid and get on Armour. Get on the South Beach Diet, so far I have lost 31 lbs. and counting.. Bev > > hello to all- I am needing advice badly- I don't know what to do > anymore!
