Guest guest
I think the RT3 is horse puckey. I see this everyday at the group home, and of course online. lots and lots and lots of testing and then get more testing. then go home with a basket of drug Rxes for vague symptoms. there are wonderful ways for hypos to get well, but mainstream docs don't use them. where did you order the STTM book from? I would like to order one to give to my coworker. Gracia from what I understand it is also not getting into my cells because of the Rt3. I am waiting for the results of the 24hr saliva. I do not know what is taking so long with that. It will be two weeks tomorrow that I sent it in. Will have to call my doctor, I guess. Guest guest
By your own admission those folks at the home are not diagnosed hypos..... instead you have declared them hypo. This makes your assertions suspect. Dusty Re: Re: swelling upon excertion/gracia I think the RT3 is horse puckey. Guest guest
OK thanks I don't really need to be right but I have been where you are. Gracia The book is at Amazon.com. I believe it was $17.99 or something like that. Please do not tell me you think Rt3 is horsepuky! I was hoping this was the answer to a lot of my problems. I am still going to give it a try with the protocol. Will be SURE to let you know how I am doing and will be the first one to tell you, you were right if it does not work. Guest guest
no but I have dealt with a stupid doctor dominance issue ) I was hypothyroid as a child (Ferdinand the Bull was my favorite story). At age 22 I had a partial thyroidectomy and no meds for 30 years until I borrowed some from a friend. my TSH is always low apparently--who knows what it was for 30 years as I descended into hell. I could only tolerate 90mg Armour and then finally I got cortef fro adrenals, sex hormones and finally Iodoral. I really don't trust tests anymore, or doctors either. Guest guest
I disagree. the RT3 is very useful to see if your body is preventing the T3 from getting into your thyroid cells. if your RT3 is high then that may explain why your metabolism is not working, since the T3 is what drives the metabolism. Guest guest
Venizia- gracia thinks every test is horse puckey.. remember she does not believe in any test. I would go ahead and get the RT3 and see if it is high. One should always get a baseline. I got the test for me and I know that it is wnl. Guest guest
oh! so then you would get cortef and iodine? well the test would certainly be worth the $$ then (not). Guest guest
IT is IMPORTANT to get all the facts then one can know what is going on with the thyroid. you can take all the bloody amount of iodine but if your RT3 is too high then all that iodine is not going to squat. jesus, this isn't one size fits all gracia EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. Guest guest
hypos really benefit from iodine and adrenal meds and I think you would too. these two things would make your symptoms go away. on another list there is woman similar to you. i kept saying get cortef and there were the usual responses of steroid ach. well now she is feeling wonderful on cortef. gracia holding sparky Gracia, Can you explain WHY Rt3 is horsepuckey. I would like more info than that. It really makes sense to me with all the research I have been doing.
