Guest guest
I went to the hospital this morning for my routine appointment with my gastronenterologist in relation to my Crohn's disease and when he asked how I was, I told him that I felt awful, always tired and cold, keep gaining weight and just generally feel rubbish. The first thing he said was 'We need to test your thyroid'. Thank goodness for that! I've mentioned how I feel to the GP several time and he just keeps referring back to the thyroid test I had about 18 months ago which was 'normal'. However, the doc today said that because I've had a partial thyroidectomy it needs checking to make sure that not too much has been taken away and that it hasn't made me hypo. He's testing TSH, T4 and calcium. None of these things mean anything to me so I hope that he's testing the right things. So now, fingers crossed for the results as if they are 'normal' again I don't want to have to get used to feeling this unwell all of the time, and I will have to accept that I am just fat with no medical reason for it! a x
