Guest guest
Hi, I cannot say what to do about the nerves and new endo's as I have never been treated by one, except with contempt by refusing to see me. Approach your appointment not so much from the angle of not remembering to ask the right questions, but try another approach. If you are already on Tertroxin and feeling well tell him you are and say WHAT is well or better about your health. So, if he does not approve, what will happen, can he take you off the meds? If he does not have the authority to, but threatens to interfere with your medication (my G.P. and ENT specialist did by reducing my meds the private Doc prescribed) ask only one question - What could they prescribe that they could guarantee would help you CONTINUE having good health if they withdraw or reduce your Tertroxin? Don't worry about the endo feeling annoyed, he gets paid more than we do but he is not living with your health. I self medicate with Armour and have been doing so for almost a full year now. Now I am better I was able to tell a G.P. for the first time in December 2006. He did not bat an eyelid because he does not have the power to stop me taking it. This time around, not bloated and crying and barely able to keep my eyes open, I had the strength to tell the G.P. how I felt I was, and still am, being treated appallingly by an uncaring NHS in the U.K. Don't let him disempower you with medical rhetoric. If he comes up with any claptrap pseudo/science answers, ask him what EVIDENCED BASED source is he referring to, and where could you go to read for yourself about what he is telling you. Don't let him assume you know nothing about your condition, or that he is dealing with someone who is not intelligent. Good Luck, and please let us hear how you get on.
